Hasbro said they didn’t want to lose the show’s only child characters. Uh, really? Are cartoon characters seriously not allowed to age? And judging by the way the CMC are treated I personally put this in Season 1.
Remember he/she is the child of one of the most popular ships in the show, and the little drama about his/her gender.

That was a big mistake in my opinion, I still think if we saw her in earlier seasons maybe she would be another member of the CMC like Gabby and Babs.
IMHO the ninth season wasn’t bad, but it had some weak episodes.
That doesn’t explain why Li’l Cheese is so popular even though he got like 1/60th the screentime of Spur and was basically just in the background… How does that even work?
In my opinion, ‘Growing up is Hard to Do’ really had no business being one of the last episodes of the show while episodes like ‘The Summer-Sun Setback’ and ‘the Last Crusade’ weren’t…especially when the latter was presented as the last CMC episode and former was building up directly for the finale.
I did hear somewhere that they wanted to do this episode (or at least something like it) in an earlier season but couldn’t get it approved until season 9 because of executive meddling or something like that.
She appeared too late in the show, maybe she would be more popular if we saw her in the early seasons.
This. (Honestly, Spur had one of the quickest death drops of any character, hers occurring before October…)
