That is perhaps true, but considering how hard animals fight to stay alive in life-threatening situations, I’d say a lifetime of some pain would be preferable to death in their opinion.
Not according to most vets. Horses are so heavy that prosthetic limbs often lead to long-term health problems. Especially front-leg prosthetics.
“Based on the video evidence, it seems unlikely that the application of the prosthetic limb is in the horse’s best interests.”
So for now we should probably file it away under “well-meaning but misguided.”
Not true. Prosthetics works well on horses too.

Astute observation.
A lot of small quadrupeds are very capable in tripod mode. It’s a lot less of an issue than humans going from bipod to monopod.
Sadly, this isn’t the case for horses. Their bodies are too heavy to adjust. and prosthetics aren’t a good option.
