“And just remember, Miss Redtail,” Fluttershy spoke softly as her squirrel-friend sat casually upon her bust. “If you ever feel insecure about your body image and need someone to talk to, you know where you can find me. Believe me, I’ve been there myself.”

The chubby critter chirped back and nodded happily as she made her way back down to her cozy shrub where the rest of her family resided.

Meanwhile, Twilight and Pinkie were too busy fawning over the adorable family of squirrels they came across. One of them had even popped up to greet them, offering one of their acorns as a gift. But Twilight simply smiled back as she kindly declined the gift. “Oh, no. I’m sure you’ll need it more for the winter. Besides, I’ve been trying to cut back,” she laughed.

“And I forgot to bring my nutcracker,” Pinkie jokingly shrugged.

Looking confused at first as it tilted its head to the side, the squirrel suddenly lashed out into a long string of angry chirps and squeaks. Practically hissing at the girls and waving a little fist towards them, the squirrel turned away with its tiny arms crossed as an uncomfortable silence followed.

Stunned by the sudden outburst, the two girls looked up towards Fluttershy as she awkwardly tried to translate. “Sorry, it’s just… He says that you’re being very condescending and rude. And he think that you’re…” She looked back down as the angry squirrel quickly threw in a few more scathing insults. “On second thought, it’s better if you don’t know,” she chuckled nervously. “Maybe just apologize and accept the gift.”

“Um… Okay?” Twilight said reluctantly as she leaned in close to the grumpy creature. “We’re so very sorry we offended you.”

“Yeah, sorry. We would love to accept your gift,” Pinkie joined in.

The squirrel simply nodded back stoically as he handed out the acorn and dropped back into his home.

“Sorry about that,” Fluttershy explained, “Squirrels tend be to a little…”

“Squirrely?” Pinkie replied before all three of them burst into laughter.
