I dunno… friend of mine who went to one who was kinda pretty darn furry (Huge pervert and open about it, kinda wiry and guy-like for a girl) came back from that place near traumatized.
 
It might have been that being a mildly attractive women, there were some creepos that started a conversation with “So we were thinking of having a foursome / orgy in Room 1A and-”

Since the Beginning -

I don’t suit either, but know a few who do. It can vary widely. If your skilled with the needles and thread you can get away with a full suit for a few hundred, depending on detail. If your not then your going to be plunking down $300-1000 for a head and $2500-5000 for a full suit. On the higher end your basically getting professional mascot quality work that is going to be ventilated properly with some custom tailoring. YMMV

I’ve always been intrigued by furries (I kind of am one but I don’t suit or anything) and think it would be interesting to go to one of those cons.
 
Of course, wearing a suit seems like it would be an expensive, cumbersome, and painful experience.
