Thank you.
Hey guess what? The script also said BigMac and Sugarbelle had 3 foals but all we get is one. The staff’s say dont make any difference if it’s not in the show then its discardable. Jim says that they didnt care if it was a colt or a filly, so the animators picked that Lil Cheese is a filly thats the end of the story. It doesnt make her ambiguous because it her sex was differed to another part of the team.
Been there, done that.
Which is why, unfortunately, he gets the short end of the fandom’s scapegoat when something goes awry.
Cheese has that silly, poofy hair too. Though I suppose it’s in a slightly different style, my point is you could just as easily say that he looks like Cheese.
I mean it’s not like this discussion even matters anyway because really this was due to a miscommunication as the animators thought that the kid was supposed to be a filly while he was written as a colt in the script.
Does Li’l cheese not use filly pinkies character model?
Looks like it to me.(Besides not having the stray hairs)
lmao wat

See, the actual script contradicts what he says here, so he’s just wrong objectively.
Also what @Mikey said.
And is it really “SJW bullshit” to just have a male character that looks kinda girly?

Here’s the thing, Jim is the highest authority on the show, the supervising director, Haber was the story editor. Jim has final say because he directs everyone else.
I’m not a mod. I’m not pretending Habor’s tweet didn’t exist either (I didn’t even bring Jim’s tweet here). Ultimately what we tag Li’l Cheese as wasn’t even my decision. It’s out of my hands really.
Please calm down with the confrontational tone. I don’t want to fight you.

So you guys are pretending this tweet doesn’t exist or something?
Y’know since you and the other mods like to always point out jims tweet.
He was called a “he” in the script. The script was leaked long before people asked them on Twitter. Stop trying to stir up drama over this.
Why not have lil cheese be either? I mean it’s kinda confirmed she’s a he by Jim but maybe both, neither or either friggin Josh Haber. In a way, I feel like lil cheese here cannot really use the rule 63 tag since it wasn’t confirmed on first appearance.
Yeah, that sounds about right to me. Sometimes things like that happen. Derpygate way back many years ago kind of happened because of a similar situation. Tabitha thought she was a boy and gave her a boyish voice.
@Dickard
I’ll ask and see if it should be tagged Rule 63 or not. But for now, it won’t be tagged Rule 63.
@Edhelistar
That’s cute.
Yeah, that makes sense. I mean it’s not like this matters anyway since he was a minor character who showed up for a brief part of the last episode of gen 4.
But if nothing else the supervising director’s word is probably the one to go off of.
The writing staff wrote him as a colt, but the art staff designed her as a filly, which is why everyone’s confused about their gender.
Though the mods aren’t actually wrong here, the artist is interpreting it as a female character but in that case it would probably be more accurate to give it the rule 63 tag, although nothing is actually changed design-wise.
