I think season 9 is the end of an era of pony. Season 10 is either a stopgap, or beginning of a new era.  
Think how season 3 was the original finale, then the show changed alot as it moved into season 4.

This show and its fandom have truly been unforgettable.

You’re right the show may be over but that doesn’t mean it’s dead and gone it’s up to everyone in the brony fandom to keep the fires burning bright keep the flames of friendship from MLP in generation 4 for a lit we’re not just going to burn up and disappear and we’re not going anywhere right we’re going to keep the fires burning even 20 years from now will still remember everything that they gave us that they helped us to I’m not going anywhere and neither is the fans of MLP will all be here keeping the ponies we all know and love the ponies that taught us so much the ponies that helped us in one way or another alive and burning brighter than they’ve ever burned before

I wish it could have gone a full 10. That’d been neat.

I mean I don’t know, I guess in terms of initial series production it’s been a full decade, but I really feel like if they had just one more year, my inner OCD would’ve been pleased - but that’s just me, and I’ll settle on my initial thought
