Vanilla’s fur is actually creamy white. She just looks yellow in that picture because of the shading.

And I did some research by watching “Surf and/or Turf”, and no other canon hippogriff had the color scheme like Ocean does (creamy orange and sea blue).

So, both characters are completely original. :D

I think if you have to keep telling people that your OCs are OCs because they look THAT much like canon characters it’s time for some tweaks. (Y’know, unless it’s a plot point. If Terramar and Fluttershy have twins they were separated from at birth, that’s one thing…)
