The darkness seems to swallow you
But a light will shine inside the depths
The Sea-Ponies will find you yet~
Ahem. Just below the waters at the edges of Equestria lie a strange species of pony, the Sea Ponies. Considered legend by those on the surface, they are a surprising reality in the sea — a whole community thriving and playing and taking care of the water life and the reefs and everything the ponies on land cannot see.
These three ponies - Seawinkle, Wavedancer and Sealight - were the first Sea Ponies, released in the US in 1983. You might know this kind of pony from the very popular song that appears in the original television special. The verse I put up there is more of a sea shanty-type.
