I’d say the trope that applies to Angel, much like Rainbow Dash, is Jerk With A Heart Of Gold, or if you will, Tsundere. He acts like a spoilt brat sometimes, but deep down he really does love Fluttershy.

9 out of 10 things Angel does are awesome.
 
First time Fluttershy see’s the Grand Galloping Gala Tickets is also Angels first scene. He spots the Spike carrying the Tickets and just steals them.
