On topic, Faust’s vision is not yet obsolete. RD isn’t very consistent, and just learning to make time for Scoot’s practice would be an adjustment.

I don’t the issue is so much what Lauren Faust had to say, as I think the fandom has more issues about the characters in the show changing.  
Every one fell in love with how the characters were presented in season 1.  
Every one seems to give Lauren Faust way too much credit for the show it self. If you really pay attention to Laurens notes and drawings from preduction, they are very different from the final product. Every body on the had a lot of input, and of course Hasbro recommended a lot of changes.  
Just because Lauren left the team, it’s not as if the show is going to mutate into some mindless G3 cartoon.

Rainbow Dash took a big step being a big sister/mentor. Rarity, on the other hoof, took about 10 steps backwards.

Is obvious that Dash would not be the caring type. But this doesn’ t mean she would be the horrible type.  
IMHO Faust was just saying that RD is just not the hugs and kisses character.

Faust said that almost two years guys.

This is.. Ugh. This is more Dash taking Scootaloo under her wing. That’s what she agreed to, honestly I think this is a good decision.

I like how these pictures actually represents some of what the fandom thinks, not what faust is thinking. Some irony here…

MLP is a show about learning. Every character has been growing since the first ep.

Even if this isn’t precisely how their relationship was envisioned, I think it’s a change for the better.

I never had a problem with scootabuse, in fact there was some good art. Gavalanche drew some good scootabuse.
