Behold this expression. This expression is perfect because we’ve all experienced it at some point. The sensation of someone you greatly respect being so disappointed in you that a single word crushes your very soul and you can only stare with an expression of shock as your heart shatters and you feel you no longer have life to live.
 
I enjoyed this sequence quite a bit.
 
I was willing to believe Cadance simply was more in tune with her duties since she was getting married, not just being a babysitter.
 
The idea that everything she called out as “proof she’s evil” being more in line with wedding day jitters and pain relief and placing Twilight in the situation of being someone who would shatter the wedding just to be right was a very interesting angle.
 
Not only did “Cadance” not fight or argue, she merely broke into tears and ran off. Shining Armor tore twilight to pieces himself, and then Celestia herself, the one Twilight respected more than ANYONE ever, delivered the final kick in the pants to shatter her feeble excuses at the time.
 
A truly powerful scene that was executed perfectly.
