Furries actually started before the 80s, usually it is tied to the release of the Vootie APA Issue 0 which came out April 10th 1976 but there were things before that.(Namely there were a group started most predominantly by a man known as Ken Sample (who is still around in the fandom here and there actually) around 74-75 IIRC.) Furries called themselves Funny Animal Fans at the time and it was heavily tied into Underground Comix at the time (yes with an x). The first use of the term Furry Fandom seems to be from February of 1983 as far as my research can tell. So yeah Furries have been around for a lot longer than most people think

I sometimes wish I had a time machine. Not to do big stuff like alter history or make the right moves in the stock market. I just want to know what was in websites like these. Small closed off communities where artists would swap lewd art of a certain niche and only really share it among themselves. Only for the websites to close down years later or groups just becoming inactive and dead. There is so much fandom art out there (Furries technically started in the 80’s, so pre-internet days especially) which makes me wonder how much we’ve missed.

This is it, this is the stuff I remember running across on the early days of having the internet! I think I need to come up with a tag for these pics it would be nice to have them all sort of organized.

I am sorry, but my affiliations with generation 1-3 of MLP are over. Find yourself a new manwhore, Lovebound.

Man, this is back from the days of Doug Winger’s shenanigans. Quite a relic!
