“Hmm? Oh, Ruby’ll be an apple farmer, o’course–I mean, just look at ‘im, he’s the picture of an Apple.”

“Apple-red coat, my eyes? He’s gonna follow in my family’s hoofsteps, I betcha ten bits.”
 
“Hmm, if I’m not mistaken, that mahogany-red coat is from my mother. I guess he’ll be a jeweler, then.”

A loud squeak interrupted the mares’ playful argument.

Ruby stretched out, scrunching up his face and yawning, before kicking out with his back legs, smacking a tiny hoof against the pink pony’s nose.
